Experience the world with Nordfyns Højskole

At Nordfyns Folk High School, travel is an integrated part of the folk high school experience. On all our long-term courses, we go on study trips to various destinations, and in addition, you also have the opportunity to combine your folk high school experience with a long travel involving volunteer work abroad, which begins when your folk high school stay ends.

Study trips

Learn while you travel

Each semester, the entire school goes on study trips to various destinations for one week. You choose your study trip after you have started at the folk high school, where you will be presented with the different study trips. Leading up to the study trip itself, you and the others who have chosen the same destination will have an elective course where you will learn about the culture, history, and area as preparation for the study trip.

Combine your højskole experience with a long travel

At Nordfyns Folk High School, you have the opportunity to extend your folk high school stay with a long travel to Japan for 8 weeks. The journey starts when the folk high school stay ends, where you, along with the others who have opted for the travel, depart together towards our local partners in northern Japan, where you will live and get close to the local people and everyday life. During the folk high school stay, as part of your subjects, you will prepare for the journey together.
