Here is an overview of the entry procedures to Denmark

Visa and Entry
Students coming from the EU-zone
(+ Switzerland and Liechtenstein)
- You sign up for a long-term course at Nordfyns Højskole.
- We confirm your application and send you an admission letter including a payment summary
- You pay the full amount for your stay. When we receive your payment, you will receive your official enrollment letter confirming your admission (This is a demand from The Danish Authorities, to prove that you can support yourself during your stay).
- You reach out to your local health authority to get the special EU health insurance (the blue card) – can be obtained free of charge.
- Approx. one month before school start you will receive information and practical details about your coming stay.
- You can begin your OD1 registration using the application form at nyidanmark.dk on the day you enter Denmark
- When you arrive we will guide you to obtain a Danish CPR number from the municipal registry to be followed by a Danish health insurance card (the yellow card) - you need a certificate of registration (OD1) to get this.
