Study trip
Calais og Brussels
We travel in September to the french port of Calais on the English Channel, and then on to Brussels. Experience standing in the epicentres of two vastly different worlds and two vastly different ways in which the refugee crisis is being handled and gain insight into a multifaceted issue. Despite the differences between these worlds, you will be able to see how connected we are, both in the conflicts we jointly handle, and geographically, when we only travel by train and bus on the study trip.
Brussels
An important forum for political debate and decision-making in Europe
Afterwards we make for Brussels – only barely 200 km from Calais, however a completely different world. From the border of the European Union, we visit its heart, where we will meet the opposite side of the coin to the refugees in Calais. Namely politicians, lobbyists and journalists who work in the center of power to influence and develop the political agenda.
We will try to touch upon the complex questions about how Europe handles its refugees.
