Practical Sustainability

You will receive practical tools, knowledge, and professional capabilities in a wide spectrum of a sustainable way of living discipline. We will be digging in dirt, using our brain to find and make solutions to some of the world’s challenges and challenges of everyday life.

Sustainability for the future

Life should make sense. We do not work towards a necessarily easy life, but towards a meaningful life – Also for our grandchildren.

Our planet is challenged. Nature, wildlife, climate, and environment are under pressure, and it is our duty to take the world seriously. That is exactly what we do in this class! We give ourselves time to dive into different challenges and seek to explore and build new roads. New ways of doing construction, way of living, and food production.

Practical Sustainability

No matter your interests, passions, experience or commitment the subject managed to embrace all the different direction we all moved in, and different ideas, knowledge and needs we brought to the class. I felt that I was a part of shaping the classes and really got enriched with knowledge and experiences, I had not imagined before joining the subject.

What will we be doing?

We will explore the present challenges and try to generate sustainable solutions

We are driven by an urge to grow, to live and a curiosity about the world. We will move around in the country, be inspired, and bring home ideas and experience to our community at the school. At the school, we put energy into the school garden where we farm, investigate, and experiment with different ideas that we create together.

How and why do we make food?

How does the city or house of the future look like?

How should we live in the future and what should we live for?

All these questions and many more are what we will explore together. In the process, we will challenge ourselves and the way we do things. Both on an individual level but also on a social level. In Practical Sustainability, we allow ourselves to disappear deep into different challenges with curiosity.
