A culture ripe with fascinating traditions
In Japanese language and Culture, we delve into Japanese society in large and small. We will explore Japanese culture and the interesting traditions and distinctive characteristics that defines it. We examine Japanese culture in a global context, focusing on what makes it unique, and what we can learn from it, so that we, together, can create a better culture.
Did you know that the Japanese language does not use plurals, and that the same word pronounced in two ways can mean two completely different things? The Japanese language is fascinating, and in Japanese language and culture, we study and learn the language on a beginner level, as well as how it relates to culture.
Nordfyns has it's origin in both Japanese and Grundtvig, and we therefore have a rich cultural diversity among our students. Our diverse community presents the opportunity to experience what happens when different people with different backgrounds meet each other. The Japanese language and culture is unique and exciting, but is it in particular so, because we explore it in a global context.
