Printmaking & Carving

In Printmaking & Carving, you’ll get hands-on with creative craftsmanship and learn to work with a wide range of graphic printmaking techniques. It’s all about experimenting, playing with materials, and discovering how even the simplest tools can be used to create something truly unique.

What do we do in class?

Cut, print, experiment – and create your own graphic expressions.

We work with:

Linocut – classic printmaking using a knife and roller
Cyanotype (sun printing) – magical blue prints created with the help of the sun
Nature printing – capturing natural patterns on paper
Collagraphy – creating printing plates with texture and depth

Along the way, we also experiment with alternative materials and surfaces: milk cartons, pieces of wood, LEGO bricks, and textiles suddenly become graphic tools. You’ll get to explore different techniques and develop your own style through both guided exercises and open projects.

Printmaking & Carving is for you who want to dive into the tactile and visual, and enjoy cutting into materials to see what comes out of it.

You don’t need to be able to draw or have experience with the techniques – all you need is a desire to explore your creativity and learn something new.
